About Studio 5IVE

Studio 5IVE is a wedding and portrait photography studio based in Bengaluru. We photograph weddings, couples, families and faces — and we've been doing it long enough to know that the best photographs are rarely the ones anyone planned.

How we work

Our approach is documentary first: we watch, we anticipate, and we photograph what actually happens. The hugs that go on a second too long, the ritual your grandmother insists on, the flower girl asleep under a chair. We direct only when direction helps — portraits, family groupings, the frames that need everyone looking the same way at once — and we do it quickly, so the day stays yours.

What we believe

A photograph's job is to take you back. Not to a colour-graded fantasy of the day, but to the day itself — how the light fell, how the room sounded, how it felt to be there. So we edit with restraint, print with care, and deliver galleries meant to be revisited in twenty years, not just posted in twenty minutes.

The practical bits

Studio 5IVE is the wedding-and-portrait studio of Sowmya Photography & Films — based in Bengaluru and travelling happily for destination weddings and outdoor sessions. Enquiries get a reply within 24 hours, galleries arrive within three weeks for weddings and one week for portrait sessions, and print rights are always included. The rest — packages, pricing, planning — starts with a conversation.
